Bo’ao is conveniently connected to other towns and cities across Hainan by means of a developed road network and a high-speed rail link.
Guests planning on coming to Bo’ao on the round-island high-speed rail should buy tickets to Qionghai Station (琼海站) or to Bo’ao Station (博鳌站). If you are coming from Haikou or Sanya then be certain that you have bought a ticket for the eastern stretch of the high-speed rail network (东环). Trains travelling in the opposite direction i.e. along the western section (西环) may also stop at Bo’ao but the journey would be unnecessarily long.
Public buses are widely available in Bo’ao.
